IKEA!

In a bid to become more organised at work, I made a trip to IKEA today to buy lots of organisational devises. I can't wait to be one of those super organised people who always know where everything is and can see their desk, and the floor underneath it.. and around it... (I am of course ignoring the nagging voice in my head which says, "You need to actually be organised enough to use these various draws and trays!")

I bought myself:

  • 6 magazine files (to put the children's books in).
  • a set of 3 in trays which I intend to keep photocopies for the day in.
  • a set of 3 deep drawers to keep chlidren's work in:
    • to mark
    • to finish
    • to send home
I am hoping that this will mean I do not have piles and piles of random paper sitting on my desk. We shall see...

It's not often I get to bake a pie mid week!

Because it's the holidays, and so I can, I made a cheese and potato pie for dinner. And yes, they are holly leaves on top as I only own christmas cutters!

I had no eggs but have discovered that water works just as well as a glue and milk is fine for a glaze, just not as shiny.

Summer Holidays!

The first week of the summer holidays is over already; I can't believe it! So far I have moved out of one classroom, moved into my new classroom, marked some books, made labels and lettering (after discovering, much to my excitement, how to download and install new fonts) and refurbished an antique chest. Oh, and mowed the lawn because it has actually been sunny for the first time since March (No, I am not exaggerating but I wish I was).

As mentioned in my description, I am a master of procrastination and therefore spend much of my time making various resources, which I may or may not use. Part of the reason I wanted to start this blog was to share those resources... as soon as I work out how...
